ELLIE IS TESTED TO THE LIMIT IN THE LAST OF US 2

'PERHAPS THE MOST COMPLEX CHARACTER IN GAME HISTORY'

Lead story writer Halley Gross said in an interview with PlayStation Magazine that The Last of Us Part 2 features the most complex characters in the game world.

"This is the longest job I've had in my life. I feel privileged to work with talented developers, designers, animators and other artists. We all have the same vision and we want to make the characters as nuanced and complex as possible", Gross says.

The writer goes on to say that everyone uses their best qualities and this produces a great end product. "I occasionally wonder how these brilliant people's brains work, they are just magicians," Gross argues.





According to the writer, protagonist Ellie is greatly challenged during her adventures and in this way she is tested to the limit.

"Of course we love Ellie very much and we are all looking forward to her coming of age, but this does not mean we coddle or protect her in the story. Torturing your characters is sometimes difficult, but in the end we are all curious about how she gets out of here, "Gross continues.

All in all, the writer is very enthusiastic about developer Naughty Dog and at the same time we can conclude from her story that Ellie is waiting for a difficult time in the next part of The Last of Us 2. For example, Gross speaks of 'unpleasant surprises' and' less pleasant moments' that make the story stronger.

Earlier, the director of The Last of Us Part 2 gave a large interview , in which he described Naughty Dog's vision with regard to the perhaps tragic story.
